Description

| In 1983, the city of Mountain View, in an effort of preservation, created Shoreline Park. The goal was to preserve a sanctuary for wetlands wildlife and to create recreation for visitors to enjoy. The result is an urban shoreline park with maintained cycling paths, wetlands preserve teeming with wildlife, and land protected from the trend of urbanization in the bay area. |

Located along the south baylands, Shoreline Park is enjoyable year-round with the refreshing sea breeze and abundance of marshlands and animals. Parking for Shoreline Park is available at Terminal Road and Shoreline Lake. Charleston Park is also a great place to start. Parking is usually easier at La Avenida and Crittenden Lane along the Stevens Creek Trail. Keep in mind that dotted trails are non-bike paths on the map.
