In 1983, the city of Mountain View created Shoreline Park in an effort to preserve natural wetlands. The goal was to preserve a sanctuary for wetlands wildlife and to create recreation for visitors to enjoy. The result is an urban shoreline park with maintained cycling paths, wetlands preserve teeming with wildlife, and land protected from the trend of urbanization in the bay area. |
